This is Our Rainbow, is located in the Juvenile Green Realistic section in Bryant. This book contains a plethora of inappropriate topics, such as: kids peer pressuring other children into changing their gender; kids identifying as animals; normalizing inappropriate adult/child relationships; violence; normalizing the defying and villainizing of parents. One of the short stories even alluded to cannibalism. You’ll even find a selection on grandmothers taking their grandchildren to nude beaches. This book is not only age inappropriate, but it pushes a deviant agenda inconsistent with the values of Saline County.
Perfect
Perfect by Ellen Hopkins is located in the Young Adult section (12-18 years) of the Saline County Library – Bryant Branch. This book contains sexually explicit activities including sexual assault, self-harm, alcohol and drug use, and profanity. The reviews for this book warn of the rape, sexting, sex, suicide, abuse, drug, alcohol and steroid abuse…and pretty much any other bad situation you can think of. Read the pages below for yourself and decide whether you want your tax dollars funding this material and marketing it to minors.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky is located in the Young Adult section (12-18 years) of the Saline County Library – in both the Benton and Bryant Branches. This book contains underage sexually explicit activities, assault and battery, violence, alcohol and drug use. Even the leftist literary reviews for this book state that some may object to the sexuality, drinking, dope smoking and acid use. Why this book is being marketed to minors is beyond me.
Last Night at the Telegraph Club
This book is in the section for ages 12-18 at the Boswell branch of the Saline Co. Library. It’s about the lesbian sexual activity of minor girls who start sneaking out to clubs. There is much more objectionable material than I am posting.
It’s not a wholesome book a publicly funded library should offer. It’s interesting that publishers advertise the covers of these books with a whole host of award symbols to “sell” the books. The only people who would give awards to these books is a group pushing an LGBTQ agenda on kids. This book is being challenged nationwide because it is inappropriate for children.
We can tiptoe around the subject, but the Bible calls this sin. I can’t imagine any parent wanting this behavior pushed on their kids by a director who claims the gay children of our community are being marginalized if the book is located anywhere other than the children’s section of the library. No child should be sexualized at their hometown library.
Me and White Supremacy
Me and White Supremacy is available in the Juvenile section of the Benton branch. Although this book isn’t X-rated, it indoctrinates children with the fallacies of Critical Race Theory. We should not be teaching kids about white people hating black people, or about white people being “privileged,” because that simply isn’t true. This book also discusses “white privilege,” “white fragility,” “tone policing,” and allyship. Me and White Supremacy also promotes teaching CRT in classrooms, a practice which has been banned by Governor Sarah Sanders.
The Haters
The Haters by Jesse Andrews is located in the Young Adult section (12-18 years) of the Saline County Library – Bryant Branch. The Haters is from the same author as Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, which like The Haters, contains very explicit sexual content plus excessive profanity. You’ll also find casual jokes about suicide bombing and rape-y behavior. This book should not be accessible to minors.
The V-Word
The V-Word by Amber J. Keyser is located in the Young Adult section (12-18 years) of the Saline County Library – Benton Branch. This book contains extremely detailed sexually explicit stories of seventeen women who explain how they lost their virginity when they were teens. Reviews state “provide a map for teens to chart their own course through the steamy waters of sex.” The book promotes deviant behavior at very young ages. Minors should not have unrestricted access to this explicit book.
Jack of Hearts
“Jack of Hearts and Other Parts” is in the 12-17 year old section of the Bob Herzfeld branch of the Saline County Library. It has it all…all kinds of gender ideologies, controversial social commentary, every kind of sex act imaginable, and alcohol and drug use by minors. I am only posting several pages up to page 26. The book is 375 pages long and the remaining 350 pages are more of the same. I’m also posting a report from booklooks .org showing the most pornographic content.
Kids are reading this and it’s also available in an audiobook format that can be checked out from home. School children have access to the library’s digital and audio books through Saline County schools and can view and listen to them without a library card or parental consent….even little children.

Jack Not Jackie
This book is in the picture book section of the Saline County Library. I think it’s fair to ask the library to remove this from the area where 0-7 year olds would browse. Transgenderism is an adult topic that the library staff seems to support because there are LOTS of books about it geared to minors.
It can be found in the Benton Library branch in the Picture Book – Purple section. All books posted on this page can be verified by searching the online card catalog at salinecountylibrary.org.
It’s Perfectly Normal
It’s Perfectly Normal is in the juvenile nonfiction section of the Saline County Library. Almost every single page is offensive. The book starts out with a cartoon where the bee (the child) does not want to know about the subject of sex, but is called “a chicken” (bullied) by the bird (the Liberal, IMO) to look. It ends with a similar cartoon with the bee, after groomed by the indoctrinating agenda, agreeing “it’s all perfectly normal.”
The book’s purpose to to get the child to agree with the LGBTQ agenda and to accept it as normal. It’s pushed throughout, detailing a LONG list of acceptable genders and what they are. The book tells children “science” shows that birth gender is not valid.
Director Patty Hector believes those who want this book removed from the Juvenile section are racist and want to marginalize LGBTQ. She wants your child to accept and consider the LGBTQ agenda… and she’s using tax dollars to do it. Take a stand. This is not appropriate in the juvenile section of our taxpayer funded public library.
Sex: A Book For Teens
This book is in the YA section (12-18 years) of the Saline County Library. It is a “how to” manual for LGBTQ, straight, and kinky sex.
The library is full of books like this. Kids are going to read these if they are searching any of the three areas for minors. Do you want the library grooming your children to accept their morals without you knowing?
There are MANY MANY MANY more electronic books that may be checked out online and these services have been given to all Saline County schools. This allows children to check them out without having a Saline County Library card.
We are not really fighting people over our children, we are fighting evil.
2 Timothy 3:1-4
1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.
2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,
4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—
Transphobia, Deal with It
“Transphobia, Deal with It and Be A Gender Transcender” is in the juvenile non-fiction section of the Saline County Library. It is a training manual for kids complete with quizzes. Kids are used to being presented material and then being tested on it, so in a child’s mind this could easily be accepted as truth…..but the information in this book IS BASED ON THE LIE that girls may not be girls and boys are not necessarily boys.
The truth is that people who believe this are confused, misled, and possibly mentally ill. As Arkansas Governor Sanders replied to Biden’s State of the Union address: “The choice is no longer between right or left, the choice is between NORMAL and CRAZY.”
This book is not appropriate for children. This transgender agenda is now leading some kids to go even further and identify as dogs and cats and other ridiculous things and bring those identities to school, disrupting school days.
When will the local Christian community stand against this craziness affecting its children here in Saline County? Surely there is a red line somewhere that they won’t allow their values to be crossed. This is about our children and it’s important.
Those trying to educate the Christian community are having a struggle even getting their Christian friends to LOOK at the sexually explicit material presented to children. No one wants conflict or wants to believe the library they have loved would do this. Please don’t stick your head in the sand and do nothing.
Marlon Bundo
“A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo” is in the Children’s Picture Book Section of the Bryant branch of the Saline County Library, but it can also be checked out online from any location.
It’s the story of a gay bunny who falls in love and wants to get married, but the Stinkbug tells the couple they can’t. The animals vote and the Stinkbug is kicked out and the bunnies get married, celebrating that the Stinkbug is no longer in charge.
This book is aimed at little children and is an inappropriate subject for preschool, elementary, or any age kid. It attacks the values of the vast majority of our community and Christians are being forced to pay for it. There aren’t just a few, the offerings are endless and being added to monthly.
The current library administration is not serving the population that pays their salaries. They are pushing both the LGBTQ and an explicitly sexual agenda to our children to draw them away from Christian values. As adult Christians we have also been been groomed to believe we are not being kind, compassionate or understanding if we don’t accept LGBTQ propaganda constantly in our face.
Christians are facing this everywhere. The local taxpayer funded library is one place WE CAN stop it. Please talk about this with your Christian friends and church members.
Not My Idea
“Not My Idea” is in the juvenile non-fiction section of the Saline County Library – Bob Herzfeld Branch. It specifically claims that racism is a white person’s problem, that white people have committed outrageous crimes against the black people, and that this white supremacy has been lying to kids for centuries. It is a CRITICAL RACE THEORY (CRT) book written by a white author.
This book it inappropriate for children and seeks to PROMOTE racism in our community. It’s very hard to understand why the library staff would want to fill the shelves with so many CRT books seeking to divide and are doing this with taxpayer money.
Let’s Talk About It
“Let’s Talk About It” is in the Boswell (Bryant Branch) of theSaline County Library. It can also be obtained by kids online in ebook format. It’s categorized as Young Adult (age 12-18 years) non-fiction.
It is yet another “how-to” manual for all things sexual…figuring out or changing your gender, LGBTQ++++, masturbation, climax, sexting, and kinks, fantasies and porn, to name a few.
The opinion/instruction in this book directly and continuously opposes Christianity and the Word of God. It is inappropriate for minors and should be moved out of the reach of minors.
Me Earl and the Dying Girl
“Me and Earl and the Dying Girl” is in both branches of the Saline County Library and is also just a click away electronically for a child with a library card. It’s in the YA section for minors age 12-18. The library calls this category Young Adults, but the settings are junior high and high school aged kids.
There are HUNDREDS of books like this and electronic access is granted to Saline County public schools…no Saline County Library card is needed.
This book is obscene and inappropriate for minors . A taxpayer funded library should be WHOLESOME and GOOD. The excuse that we should not “censor” what children see and hear is ridiculous. These books seek to normalize sexual behavior in children and normalize the LGBTQ agenda.
Sex is a Funny Word
“Sex is a Funny Word” is in the juvenile nonfiction section of the Saline County Library. This section is aimed at minors age 7-12 who are reading chapter books.
It heavily pushes the LGBTQ agenda and tells children they have a choice of what gender they want to be. This is directly opposed to the Christian beliefs most in Saline County hold. The 52 employees the library employs should seek to serve the interests of the people of Saline County, not the interests of people in California. It is Saline County tax dollars that fund their salaries.
LGB…. Agenda Pushing
The Saline County Library staff pushes the LGBTQ agenda not only in books and other offerings, but through their signage. When is enough enough?
Staff Favorites
Note the Staff Favorite sign, signed by Ms. Chelsea, Teen Programmer….which is exactly what she is doing….programming children to the LGBTQ agenda. They are thumbing their noses at the Saline County community who do not want the library indoctrinating their kids. A taxpayer funded public library should not be cramming their LGBTQ views down the throats of children…or adults for that matter. They have ramped it up…purposely…since asked to move these books out of the children’s section. They are using OUR money to do this.
Making A Baby
“Making a Baby” can be found at both the Benton & Bryant branches of the Saline County Libraries in the juvenile section. Goodreads reports it was written in collaboration with a leading LGBT organization. It discusses/shows intercourse, discusses surrogacy for gay couples, IUI, IVF, and that some babies are intersex, with some choosing to make changes to their body as they get older (transgenderism).
It is one more book seeking to indoctrinate Saline County children at a very young age that the LGBTQ lifestyle is a choice for them.
The library should be a wholesome and safe place for minors. The Saline County Library should respect the views of the Christian community it serves and move these books OUT of sections designated for minors. The Quorum Court passed a resolution asking the Library to move the books ahead of Act 372 going into effect and the Library has now refused to do so.
